Circulaire administrative relative au cours électif SCOPE

 

Merci de bien vouloir noter qu’une nouvelle matière nommée SCOPE  (Students Changing Community Outcomes through Political Education) sera offerte ce semestre en tant que cours électif. Il s’agit d’un cours à 3 crédits qui sera enseigné par Dr. GHATTAS, Micheline.

Ce cours a été offert en anglais au semestre d’automne, au Campus de Baabda et sera donné en français au semestre de printemps, au sein des 3 Campus.

Ci-dessous, vous trouverez un descriptif de cours :

Ce cours est un cours d’éducation politique qui explique le concept de citoyenneté, parle des droits et obligations du citoyen, explique le système politique au Liban et se couronne par un projet de service ou du bénévolat. Ce cours a comme base théorique la Charte des Droits de l’Homme, la « Bill of Rights », la Constitution du Liban et d’autres documents traitant des concepts de démocratie, de société civile et d’engagement civique.  Plusieurs conférenciers représentant des ONG internationales et locales seront invités pour présenter leurs organisations. Ce cours exigera, entre autres, un forum de discussion en ligne, des heures de bénévolat et/ou un projet ou un rapport final.

Circulaire administrative

Formation à la médiation avec l’UNESCO et l’AUF

 

Le Bureau Moyen-Orient de l’Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) et le Bureau régional de l’UNESCO à Beyrouth organisent une journée de formation à la « Médiation : outil de prévention et de gestion des conflits ».

La journée (5 heures) est adressée aux étudiants inscrits dans toutes les disciplines, et aux enseignants.

 Il y aura :

·       2 ateliers à Beyrouth (avril)

·       1 atelier à Dannieh et 2 ateliers à Tripoli (avril)

·       2 ateliers à Saida (mai)

·       2 ateliers à Zahlé (mai)

 

Chaque atelier peut accueillir 25 participants et selon le besoin, il sera donné en arabe, français ou en anglais.

Début juin, une cérémonie de remise d’attestation de participation se tiendra dans les locaux du bureau de l’UNESCO à Beyrouth.

The internship report (15  to 20 pages) must include :

Cover page : (1 page)

This page must contain:

-          Your name, family name and ID number.

-          The position or department you are working at.

-          Dates / Period of internship.

-          Name + logo of the company – Name + logo of the University and Faculty.

-          The name of your internship advisor.

-          The eventual mention of confidentiality (required or not by the company depending on the information in the report)


Table of content: (1 page)

This includes the plan of your report. Be aware that readers in a hurry will focus on this and the conclusion. Choose carefully the titles you are going to use inside the report so that the reader can identify the structure of your work rapidly.

While reading the plan of your work, it is already possible to the tutors to judge your work; it should translate the problematic that you are going to discuss, meaning your analysis of the subject.

Use numbering for each part, section, paragraph for an easier reading.

Use numbering for the pages too.


Acknowledgements: (1 page)

The acknowledgements are usually addressed to your internship advisor in addition to one or 2 other persons who their role was important during your internship.

Name each person, his/her position (or relation to you) and the reason why you are thanking him/her.


Introduction: (1 to 2 pages)

Precise here why did you choose this internship, for what reasons have you picked this position/ department, and why this company or this industry/ sector.

Present briefly the company and the tasks you were responsible for at your internship.

 

 

 

 

 

Development of the report:

Here is an example of how you could write your report.

Be careful that the part presenting your roles/ tasks and the result of your internship must be larger that presenting the company and the industry/ sector.

When you describe the tasks and responsibilities that were given to you, do not enumerate your daily work at the company. Instead, mention the main responsibilities, what you have learned, the methods and the means used, the results, the difficulties encountered, the solutions presented and the people you were in contact with.

Once the report is written and after the consent of your internship advisor, prepare a Powerpoint presentation to reflect the content of your report and the conclusions.
