The teaching system which is in force at Université Antonine and in compliance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education requires physical presence. Thus, the attendance in all courses, practical works and trainings is mandatory.

 

At the end of each session, the instructor gives back the attendance sheet to the secretariat of the unit where he/she is teaching, putting one of the following indications beside the name of each student:

P for Present

A for Absent

 

A student who is asked to leave class will be considered “Absent”.

The instructor is responsible for filling in the attendance sheet while giving his/her course.

The secretariat of each unit is in charge of entering the data written on the attendance sheet before the end of the same day.

 

The total number of absences for each student in all courses is calculated by the information system.

 

No grades are allocated to the student’s attendance in class. However, if the number of absences exceeds the limit, the name of the student will not show again on the attendance sheets. He will be dropped from the course and will be prevented from presenting his/her exams but will have to pay the credit of the course. Certainly, the course won’t be validated.

 

The maximum number of absences accepted in a course is as follows:

In a one-credit course, 3 sessions

In a two-credit course, 5 sessions

In a three-credit course, 7 sessions

 

The information system automatically informs the student by e-mail (on his/her personal account (page “mon profile”) on the sis) and informs as well the secretariat of the unit, from the moment he/she still has 2 sessions to reach the maximum number of accepted absences.

 

Any request of exception for breaking this rule should be addressed only to the General Secretary. The latter, can accept an additional number of absences after consulting the dean or director of the unit if needed.

 

The petitions asking for exceptions to break this rule because of a proof of work should be presented with an attestation specifying the conditions and the hours of work and having the signature of the employer. Without this attestation the petition won’t be accepted.

The maximum number of absences, further to an exception because of work should not, in any case, cross the following limits:

In a one-credit course, 5 sessions

In a two-credit course, 9 sessions

In a three-credit course, 13 sessions

تعلن الإدارة الماليّة في الجامعة الأنطونيّة بأنّها قد مددت مهلة التسجيل للطلاّب الكرام للعام الجامعيّ 2014-2015 في فرع زحلة-البقاع على أساس قيمة رسم التسجيل 300$ و ذلك حتى يوم السبت 13 أيلول ضمناً.

Ø Time between 90 minutes and 2 hours

2.       General instructions.

3.       Each student will be assigned a line number. You will receive your number during the withdrawal of your invitation cards on your rehearsal date.

4.       Each student will take his place in the assembly assigned rooms according to the number given to him by the responsible.

5.       Students line up with alphabetical order or inverse, according to the instructions of the responsible. (Line to be respected imperatively)

6.       Prospective graduates entrance to the place of the ceremony – Outdoor stadium

7.       Prospective graduates will be moved into position and take their place according to the directions given earlier. Seats at the place of the ceremony are not numbered.

8.       Flags simulation

9.       Receiving diploma

10.  Photos – (some information before and after the ceremony)

11.  End of the ceremony

 

 

N.B.1: The room G.1.5 and the amphitheater are considered places of assembly for students and the outdoor stadium the place of the ceremony.

N.B.2: Please you have to respect the time schedule and follow the instructions given to you during rehearsal.

N.B.3: Students who do not attend rehearsal will not be allowed to walk in commencement.

N.B.4: Deadline for participation in the Commencement ceremony and for the withdrawal of the gown is fixed for Saturday, 21 June, 2014.
